JukeKeeper ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us:

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and password.
• Collection Data: Information about your vinyl record collection, including artist names, song titles, and organization preferences.
• Third-Party Integrations: If you connect your Discogs account, we access your public collection data to sync with JukeKeeper. If you add your own YouTube API key, we store it encrypted so your jukebox can play videos. Both are removed when you delete your account.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the JukeKeeper service
• To authenticate your account and enable features
• To sync your collection with third-party services (when you authorize)
• To send important service-related emails
• To improve and develop new features

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. When something goes wrong, technical error details (scrubbed of emails and tokens) are sent to our private operations channel so we can fix it.

Third-Party Services

JukeKeeper integrates with the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google): For authentication and data storage
• Discogs: For syncing your record collection (optional)
• YouTube: For playing music videos linked to your records
• Vercel: For hosting, and for anonymous visit and performance statistics. These use no cookies and do not track you across sites.
• PostHog: For product analytics: which pages are visited, which features get used (for example, that records were imported or strips printed - never their contents), and anonymised recordings of how pages are used, with everything typed into forms hidden. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Jukebox owners are identified by an internal account number only, never by name or email; visitors stay anonymous. Data is processed by PostHog in the United States.
• Anthropic: When you add a record by photo, the photo of its label is sent to Anthropic's AI service to read the artist, titles, label and catalogue number. The photo is also stored with the record as its label picture.
• Slack: Our own team chat, where we get notified when someone signs up (their name and email address), when feedback is sent through the site (the message, and an email address if you gave one), when a jukebox model is suggested, and when something breaks (error reports, with email addresses and tokens removed). Only the JukeKeeper team can see it.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your collection data

Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage to remember your preferences (such as language settings) and to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

Children's Privacy

JukeKeeper is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
